Jan 19, 2015 Top Ten Free to Play Steam Games (2015) - Duration: 17:13. MMOHuts 3,608,952 views.
- The game is truly f2p. The only things you can spend money on are cosmetic microtransactions that replace the appearence of your gear (reusable as many times as you want) and stash tabs. If you need help or just a friendly guild to be a part of while you play, add me on steam.
- Apple fans are used to free gaming for the iPhone and iPad, but tend not to think so much about free games for macOS.This is a shame, because the Mac is a great games platform with plenty of.
There seems to be a new free to play MMORPG released every week these days, but even with the immense growth of the genre, very few MMORPGs are Mac compatible. Considering Mac users only make up for ~5% of the market share for operating systems, it’s not surprising that most game developers opt not to develop Mac compatible versions of their MMORPGs. The only MMORPGs Mac users can usually play are browser MMORPGs, but after Googling around for a bit, I learned that some client based MMORPGs are also Mac compatible. Below is a list of all Mac compatible MMORPGs that run on OS X:
Savage 2

GetAmped 2
GetAmped 2 is a 3D fighting MMO published by CyberStep. It has an excellent amount of appearance customization and plays a bit like Rumble Fighter.
Regnum Online
This 3D fantasy MMORPG with an emphasis on late game Realm vs Realm PvP added Mac support in early 2011.
Note: Only games that support Mac without any additional software are listed here. You can get a lot more MMORPGs working on OS X through programs like CrossOver and VM Ware, but those are not included in this list.

- Install Boot Camp on your Mac and dual-boot it into Windows. You will need Windows license for this of course.
I hate to say it but you don't have many options.
I use a Mac as my main computer but had to buy a gaming pc for games.
I just tried the MASS EFFECT demo ( I try to get demo's first to test them). Bootcamp for games on mac. And it's REAL JUMPY when you use the mouse to look around and aim. Otherwise the frame rate is real good.
GW2 has a mac client (I believe) but it's buy to play.
Elder Scrolls Online will have a mac client but they haven't announced their payment model (or release date for that matter)
Ryzom and EVE have Mac clients but EVE has a subscription. Ryzom has a limited f2p.
All of this is discounting your desire for 'varied mission structure'.
If you go to the game list there is a link up top for 'Mac'
Well, by variety I don't mean like a really unique experience like EVE (which is way too hardcore for me) or something. I mean a WoW-like experience where there's more to missions than 'go here, kill this' or 'go there, find that'. I want it like WoW or LoTRO but with missions in like puzzles and races and silly minigames along with the go here do this structure. And regardless of how much Elder Scrolls Online costs, I'm probably gonna buy that (assuming it's good). This MMO is only to subside my wait for that.
Thanks for the help so far guys!

I work in IT and this is my biggest (and growing grip), the number of people who buy the wrong tool or try and use their current tool for the wrong purpose and complain about it. Buy a PC if you want to play games, it is what they are good at. Buy a MAC if you want to design things or want to be spoon fed how your system should work. Don't buy a MAC then expect gaming options to be plentiful.
Seriously, if I have to deal with another person who bought a MAC because they look cool, then has to buy Parallel's to install Windows so they can use a bit of PC software..grrrr!

I'm not an idiot. The reason I have a Mac is because I make video games (along with messing around with animation and filmmaking) and the Mac is my system of choice. That said, I'm not gonna buy an entire PC right now just to play some games. The bulk of my day is spent on my Mac already. I'm just trying to find a fun MMORPG that's free to play and happends to be on Mac when I'm not working on my stuff.
